Time is the theme of this work and it is based on the cut of the trees and how their age is measured through the circles that form inside them. It is a work of introspection and philosophical reflection, but also visual of the colored circles that mark the passage of our life, which has different nuances, high moments and also difficult moments. The background is black like the cosmos. It is a work where I continue the path of geometric abstraction and the minimalist concept of less is more.

ARTIST STATEMENT " Day and night The Day: I observed the wonder of nature, the colors, life itself, the sun, the moon, the stars and everything that surrounds me. The Night: the summary of everything makes me dream of being able to fly among the stars, a flowery field, a waterfall and a lake, etc. All this encourages me to paint on silk, paper, wood or canvas, even working with clay. Then there are times that I want to change, but in general I return to what I dreamed of adding small Beings that inhabit this world. For several years traveling and working in various parts of the world. All this has influenced me in my painting. (from the North to the Tropics) " Jacqueline Schreier was born in Lausanne, Switzerland. She has been a tireless traveler and these diverse experiences have had a decisive influence on her artistic career. She currently resides and works in Valdemorillo, which is in the Community of Madrid in Spain. Schreier's plastic introspection arises from her dream worlds, from her attentive gaze at her natural environment in the mountains of Madrid; and all this she mixes and feeds back from her childhood fantasies and her dreams of outer spaces and exuberant landscapes that explode in color, respecting a harmonic balance of the elements and characters that make up her orderly composition. The influences of Klee and Rousseau are immersed in her plastic palette and have endowed it with an exquisite stew of visual aromas, which Jacqueline Schreier turns into her own vital essence. Fauna and flora, day and night, black and white, red, blue, green and yellow roam in different plastic facets. Her professional work in illustration and in the advertising sector have permeated her eye towards graphic design and that presence is noticeable in part of her work, but in her latest works it emerges from figuration, which has been the main engine of her painting and now she jumps into abstraction as a necessary evolutionary process in her creative future. Schreier enters the nebulous atmospheric world of color, texture and form, but with an innate capacity for synthesis and total expression.
