The "narrative" as I worked with the model was as a director might coach an actor- "You were once a famous clown in a top circus. Now you have fallen to working cheap roadside carnivals. This moment you are contemplating how you could have fallen so far. Your only friends left are also used and discarded (balloon animal and taxidermy beaver)."
