About The Artwork

Title of the work: Broken mirror in the house (brings bad luck); clothes worn inside out. In this work, I present myself in front of a broken mirror (a sign of bad luck), stepping on a cracked tile (bad luck), wearing a shoe on my right foot and a sock on my left foot, while the pants are worn inside out. What do all these signs represent? Mirrors, an indispensable object in every home, have been associated with many superstitions. Mirrors are considered mystical objects, which is why they must be free of chips and clean. Thus, broken mirrors should not be kept at home for safety reasons and to avoid the multiplication of negative energies of family members. Another superstition about mirrors states that breaking one affects the course of your life. Moreover, it is said that a broken mirror can bring bad luck, but at the same time, it can be a gateway to the future. To avoid bad luck, the mirror shards must be gathered and thrown away. A broken or chipped mirror should not be kept in the house. What does it mean to wear clothes inside out? It means that the weather is changing or that it is a sign of good luck (you shouldn't change them because your luck may change). However, it is unlucky if you button up incorrectly or if you put on a sleeve or pant leg incorrectly. When you wear new clothes on the first day of the year, the custom will repeat throughout the year. A hole in a sock is a sign of good luck on the first day but can bring bad luck on the second day. An old Jewish custom involves putting on the right shoe without tying the lace, then putting on the sock on the left foot. The process continues by taking off the right shoe, putting the sock on the right foot, putting on the left shoe, and finally, the right shoe. The artwork can be seen as advice against putting too much faith in certain rumors, urging one to think twice about the contemplated action. It might be viewed somewhat ironically, but not with ignorance.

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

A primary reason why I chose the world of art was the opportunity to visualize the world we live in through a different lens and explore various perspectives. It's about admiring the world despite the challenges an artist faces at the beginning of their journey. The goal is to captivate a diverse audience with ideas that can resonate with people from all walks of life, opening their eyes to new approaches and fostering a broader appreciation for art. I chose the path of art, setting aside sports, to illustrate my own world, addressing certain ironic situations that surround us at every step, such as superstitions. For these, I have created a collection of paintings inspired by the works of the famous surrealist artist Rene Magritte.
