About The Artwork
At a time when women still had armpit hair, one of my friends dyed hers under her right arm in green and under her left arm in red. Every time she raised her arms, this movement became a completely different meaning than just raising the arms. I imagine to color my forearms and hands. How does this change my gestures when I know they are eye-catchers? What meaning do others ascribe to them? And how is my own feedback to this changed reading? How do I use these colored signals when their interpretation no more fits to my knowledge made of experiences? Change one little thing and everything is different.
