About The Artwork
The artist uses “Tree”, as her major material for this exhibition. She picks up fallen twigs, trims each one, and brings them to life. One day, the artist happened to experience a collapse of her normal life. While walking along Tancheon Stream, she suddenly came upon a piece of twig fallen to the ground. At the moment, the twig looked too sad to be left there as it was.. So she felt like doing something for it. Afterward, each time she went out for a walk or trip, she would collect twigs one by one. Upon bringing them back home, she decided to give life to each of them.
