About The Artwork
I aimed to show a uniquely dynamic relationship between a predator and prey. The Leopard holds himself back from turning the impala into lunch, instead sparing her life. In this piece, as well as the rest in this collection, I have included a hidden scene. The purpose was to create another layer to the painting. I want the viewer to stop and look at everything that is happening in the painting, not just the obvious. By creating a "where's Waldo" experience, I am able to achieve this.
