ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The picture is painted under the impressions of Bela Bartok's work "Contrasts". His music as a folk ornament is framed by a modern sound. And I tried to transfer it to my picture. The picture was a poster for the concert of the same name - "Contrasts" in the Mirror Hall of the Lviv Opera House on June 9, 2021

I'm from Ukraine. But I temporarily live in Germany because there is a war in my country. “ Painting is music and music is painting” answer I when someone asks what both of them mean . These kinds of art are closely tied and I have been close by them since childhood. When I am playing the violin, I imagine colours and paints. Drawing something , I hear sounds of music. I am fond of doing experiments with materials for my pictures. Marble aggregate , sand, metal powder , various types of structure paste, plasters, acrylic dispersions and different mixtures are usually used by me . In addition , I am keen on ancient Ukrainian culture. I often use Ukrainian folk ornaments , symbols and signs. The aim of my art is to make world better , expand people’s overview and give them a piece of happiness.
