About The Artwork
"Convergence" is a painting I have made that plays with layered rectangular colour fields. The neutral grey palette is in reference to the urban landscape I am surrounded by living in a city. Mid-century modern in style this painting would complement a modernist interior. With "Convergence" there are many number of possibilities at play, when it comes to deciphering the image. My hope is that the viewer's imagination is inspired to explore their own narrative to discover a personal connection with the artwork. This painting pays homage to the American abstract expressionism movement that included such artists as: Franz Kline, Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler and Agnes Martin.
