The famous painting by Constant Troyon caused me such great admiration that I decided to transfer it to my canvas. The mysterious luminescence of the evening sun fills the entire landscape. A shepherd returns with a flock of sheep. A wagon, barked by a pair of cows, is filled to the top with hay. I can look at this pastoral scene all day long and I feel a sense of beauty and serenity, captured by the artist.
