About The Artwork

This painting depicts deep see landscape of the Sea of Japan closer to his home. Contrast to clear water or blue water in south Pacific or Caribbean, the water there isn't clear, but rather dark green, not lots of light coming through water. However, the ocean still hosts underwater lives. Yoshirou painted the background (coral pink) with with blue-gray in a way so the paint peels off naturally. Peeking pink represents coral which can be seen when the light during occasional light in underwater. The underwater seascape and abundant seaweed are expressed with green-gray, and the underwater lives (coral, fish) are expressed with different hues (pink, purple, yellow, white, blue, orange, red). The black ink represents fish zig-zagging in the water and waving sea weed. Yoshirou wanted to pain the beauty in the darkness with pink coral. best to be framed. Gray background painting is peeling, which Yoshirou intended. Please contact me for any questions or additional photos @ kahunak@gmail.com.
