About The Artwork
This is an A3 oil painting on primed paper. It is of a partial female figure in a costume. The painting is a comment about being able to see the performers body, whilst veiling it at the same time. As with many costumes, this one blurs the line between nudity and clothed. The female form is in movement and painted loosely with a cloth, scribbled on with pastel. I painted her from my imagination.
