Crush By The Waterfall Painting

Crush explores repressed feelings and emotions by use of a trope in many societies, especially in the developing world. wherein children are supposed to be seen but not heard. Unfortunately this silence becomes so ingrained that even as adults people are unable to express their emotions and it remains pent-up. Crush is the yearning for self expression. Autobased paints show the tropical colours of my environment and the aluminum is a profilic and left over product from building sites. It is an expression of over-urbanisation and mas migration from rural communities to cities. The spraypaint flows organically on the aluminium to create it's own pattern much as nature often does even though we may be under the illusion that we are in control. Each painting flows with unique patterns and would be impossible to recreate.
