Cultural death Painting

This is an oil painting done on stretched canvas it is ready to hang. This is a mixed media painting as I have used oil paint and news print as a collage This is a conceptual art. Which tries to depiction of the loss of the Sinhala and Tamil native languages to the more economically profitable English language (present) and Chinese language in the future. As more and more parents choose to educate their children in international schools and encourage them to learn English first and then Sinhala/Tamil, which tends to discourage the child from acquiring their mother tongue as fluently as they should. And in some cases not acquire it at all, which will lead towards the death of a language and the death of that culture.
