About The Artwork

Curly horsewoman; acrylic canvas; 2024; 36 х 28 inches; 90 х 70 cm Venture into the realm of the mystical with "Curly Horsewoman," a captivating piece where the vigor of equine grace meets the enigma of feminine mystique. Painted with a palette that whispers of the sky just before dawn, this artwork is a voyage into the untamed spirit that horses and women alike share—powerful, free, and utterly beautiful. In this painting, the horse and rider emerge as one, a synergy of strength and elegance. The woman's gaze holds stories untold, her presence commanding yet serene atop the majestic steed. Her curls, wild and untamed, mirror the untethered spirit of the horse—a symbol of freedom and the boundless journey ahead. "Curly Horsewoman" is a celebration of the soul's desire to run free, unbridled by the constraints of the mundane. It is for those who find kinship with the wildness of nature and the depth of the human spirit. As the first brushstrokes were laid down, I sought to create more than an image—I aimed to craft an experience that resonates with the viewer's own longing for adventure and connection. This painting is for the collector who is drawn to the call of the wild, to the beauty of untamed things. It is for the dreamer who sees themselves galloping across vast, open spaces, where the sky kisses the earth at the horizon. It's for the lover of myths, of tales where women and horses are the weavers of destiny. In the art world where unique narratives are treasured, "Curly Horsewoman" stands as a testament to the boundless tales of courage and exploration. It is now ready to find a home, to inspire and be admired, to become a part of someone's personal gallery where it will continue to tell its story. For the art enthusiast seeking to bring a touch of wild elegance into their space, "Curly Horsewoman" is an impeccable choice, ready to transform any room into a sanctuary of mythical beauty.

Artistic Statement I paint large scale contemporary pieces, up to three meters, that combine Expressionism and Abstract Expressionism. Also my artworks are land or seascapes and figurative art. The mix of styles creates is a dialogue between interior emotions and the outside environment. I like to think that all my art comes from a place of optimism and a celebration of life. I believe that the art and objects that we surround ourselves with can motivate people and infuse our lives with positive energy. I have always maintained, and tell my art students, that good art requires steady and constant effort and practice, so I make sure I paint every day. I am also constantly looking for ways to add new elements, stylistically and conceptually, to my work.
