Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, pearl paint on Paper.

There are two in this Poppy Field series. Here is the story behind the painting:
A boy died, his parents planted the entire fields with poppy flowers in Michigan. I think it's a bittersweet story. I was there, felt very touching. Poppy flowers do give many people mixed feelings. It's beautiful yet dangerous. In the East, Poppy flower is eviler than the west, since poppy is the plant for opium, and many families suffered from the opium there. In the west, there are still many people suffering from abusing drugs. But who or what should be responsible? By just looking at the beautiful poppy fields. Would you think it's evil? with a bloody past? Dangerously beautiful is the poppy flower. But aren't we all taking risks sometimes by want to achieve more? Beauty is attempting, yet, it could be dangerous.
