Driving alone at night through a small southern town can be peaceful and magical. Never let your guard down completely though, because you never know what could be lurking.... “Dark Roads” is a textured painting created with acrylic paints, inks, fluid mediums, and texture mediums. The palette includes hues of brown including umber as well as, cream, metallic copper, and metallic gold. The art is on a stretched on a 48x 60 in. canvas and hangs beautifully both horizontally and vertically. My signature is on the side of the canvas and the back so that you have the option of hanging it both ways. The 1.5 in. sides are painted umber and arrives wired and ready to hang horizontally. (Wire is easily adjustable for a vertical position). “Dark Roads” also arrives with a certificate of authenticity.

I'm an abstract artist from Atlanta, Georgia. I create my paintings using a variety of mediums, including acrylic paint, oil paint, alcohol ink, texture mediums, and oil sticks. My work strives to create a thoughtful and emotional experience drawing you into a world of color, texture, and mood. My approach always starts with a decision to be open and surrender to the moment. A mix of intentional and intuitive paint pours, gestural strokes, or marks create a dance of color and texture that are both spontaneous and deliberate. From there I allow the process to guide me, free from judgements or limitations. As I paint, some elements get covered over while others are revealed again, and the finished painting contains a rich, layered history.
