About The Artwork

In an exercise of contrast and surprise, metaphors of the known and the unknown are created through a juxtaposition of the past and present. My images are forms of stains that compose abstract landscapes and figures, visions and representations of thought. They take form according to the observer´s background; In order to comprehend, people tend to find relations, this act of association takes value when the tangible manifest into something the observer can relate to.

Born in Bogota, Colombia. After graduating from industrial design I moved to Barcelona, Spain to study my master’s degree in graphic design. I have always developed a strong passion for the visual arts and its need to create archives of culture and contexts of society. My work basis comes from recreating and evoking ignored problematics and ethereal concepts present in our daily life, giving form and identity through assemblages and images. I´m driven by the need to present the presence of contrast, a discussion between the obvious and the ignored, light and darkness. My work´s goal is to evoke memory from chaotic visuals, manifest ambivalent personal meaning with a sense of order, unique to the observer encountering the images. My images are forms of stains that compose abstract landscapes and figures, visions and representations of thought.
