This painting was inspired by a female great white shark (Deep Blue) that is estimated to be 6.1 m long or bigger and is over sixty years old. She is believed to be one of the biggest ever recorded in history. Great white sharks are on the verge of extinction and I would like more people to see and appreciate them and by painting I believe that I can make a difference by putting it out there and making people realize that they can also contribute by learning how to decrease extinction of ocean life.
