But if you are still in need of knowing where exactly His abode is, there is only one place to look for him: in the heart of a true lover. The presence of Allah is not confined to any mosque or church; He is present everywhere. However, if someone does not find Him in the mosque or church, then the best place to find Him is the heart of a pious man i.e. waliullah who is a true lover of Allah. In this painting, I have shown a door which represents all the religious places of worship. In order search something, we need light. I have painted a lantern to symbolize this. Bird’s nest is also one of the signs of Allah. And if someone is even then satisfied, he should try to find Him in the heart of a true lover of Allah. This is a realistic painting. It has two major figures: the architectural door (old door) and an old man, which is a side figure, balance the painting. It is an oil painting. Different techniques have been used in this painting. These include brush and knife in the background. Thick paint has also been applied in the background with the help of a knife. The figure is realistic and a detailed work. Small and large shapes are also present. The major colour used is ochre yellow and the background is white colour wash to focus objects.
