Dharamshala From Mcleodganj- India Painting

Samir and his wife took a holiday to Himachal Pradesh tourist spots with their friends. They hired a 13-seaterluxury bus starting from Delhi in the morning and stayed in a place called Unnao for the night in a hotel. The next morning, having seen the famous Sikh shrine complex on the way, they began the uphill journey and crossing Dharamsala town in the elevated plains they took four smaller vehicles–Taxis, which ply for the purpose of steep upward journeys through narrow roads, to Mcleodganj. They stayed in a pre-booked hotel, adjacent to another hotel famous for its Buddhists tourists who visit Mcleodganj for their ritualistic programs. In Mcleodganj, they stayed in a terraced hotel, like many other big hotels built there on the contoured topography. The entrance area is at the highest level, abutting the adjoining road and the hotel room wings are on the terraced area going downwards to the rear. Here, Samir and his friends spent nearly three days. From an open-to-sky terraced lounge in thehotel was an undisturbed panoramic view of Dharamsala town down below at a considerable distance. It was a sunny clear morning when Samir made this on-the-spot water colour on photo mount board, capturing the panoramic scene and the ambience created by the play of light and shade and the terraced landscape down below extending far beyond and merging with the sky.
