About The Artwork
Through making photo collages, I explore the boundaries between conscious and unconscious minds with an intent to stimulate human curiosity, negating preconceived ideas or traditions. This piece is a representational painting of a small collage I made from magazines back in 2010, which was purchased by Saatchi in 2011. By strictly following the same composition again by hand, this painting manifests my unconscious experience into the conscious experience.

If painting is not available, I would cut and paste. If collage is not available, I would sew. I intuitively choose ways in which I can articulate my emotions and deeper insights, that are specific to this moment in a pure manner without a logical mechanistic thought process.
