About The Artwork
This painting is about aspirations and dreams towards our personal goals that will lead us into self fullfillment. But sometimes love can provide obstacles and distractions while we try to concetrate on our target. The woman is depicted half human and half bull with the moon embracing her head in order to denote power and enlightment. The flying mermaids which I use quite often are symbols of a strong love and sexuality. The clarinet player sitting on the moon allures the lovers with his music. But her body is turnt on the side of the castle, so she will manage to combine both succesfuly.
