About The Artwork
This small painting was made with tempera on clayboard. Intern body perceptions were the inspiration of this work. Harmony emerges from this painting: geometric and organic forms have been set nearby each other, and give a sensation of rest. Tempera is a beautiful medium, the color is bright, dense as well as transparent. It is as if clayboard absorbes paint, while color remains very luminous on the support. Inspired by icons (use of egg tempera), I recently added a frame covered with gold leaf. Therefore light emerges and spreads inside and outside the work's frame.
