About The Artwork
From my vantage point as a timekeeper on the finish line of The Lamma 500 Dragonboat Race I was inspired by the energy and the flurry of colour and movement as the teams power through. Using acrylics on black paper gives a depth to the image, especially the ocean and makes the bright colours and splashes all the more vivid.
