“Dream On” Abstract expressionist landscape depicting mountains, flowers and white clouds on a light blue sky. A colorful mountainscape painted using brushes and palette knives. I also added some polka dots and other details using a solid paint marker. I used modeling gel and white acrylic paint with a palette knife to paint the textured clouds. Painted in a bold color palette with olive green, forest green, ochre, mustard yellow, vermillion orange, pink, light blue, peach, sage green, apricot, and white. I named the painting after the title of one of the songs I was listening to when I painted this artwork (Dream On, from Aerosmith). Dimensions: Artwork is 8 x 8 inches (20.3 x 20.3 cm) With a ±0.5” (±1.2 cm) white border all around, for ease of framing If needed, you can easily cut the border to better fit your frame/mat Orientation: Square Medium: Mixed media (acrylic paint, watercolor, paint markers, modeling gel) On unstretched cotton canvas primed with four coats of gesso Sealed with a coat of glossy varnish for protection (and to make the colors pop!) Signature on front Title, year and signature on back Comes with signed certificate of authenticity Shipped rolled and carefully packaged in a sturdy tube. You can easily frame it yourself, or you can have it framed by your local framing shop. I recommend using a frame with a mat (with the mat made to fit an 8x8 inches image). Thank you so much for your interest in my work. Enjoy :)

Once upon a time, there was a creative little girl named Caro. She loved spending her time creating drawings, which she then sold for 5 cents or 10 cents to passers-by in front of her family house in Québec, Canada. She dreamed of being an artist when she grew up... Years later, the dream came true! I graduated in graphic design in 1999, and spent the following twelve years working as a graphic designer and art director. Then, finding that my work was not satisfying my thirst for creativity and my need for artistic freedom, I opened my own creative online shop in 2012. In 2023, in addition to my work as a self-employed surface designer and illustrator, I have taken up painting in order to professionally explore a passion that until recently had remained somewhat in the shadows of my other creative achievements. I like to paint simple and repetitive shapes in an abstract expressionist style and intuitive approach, in order to find myself in an almost meditative state - I find freedom there, a creative letting go, I disconnect from everything, and my mind escapes. A color lover, I like to play with all the possible tones and shades imaginable. I create compositions where lines and dots come together in a colorful and happy dance for the eye that looks at them. Rather solitary by nature, I like to create in the quietness of my lakefront home studio in Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc (QC, Canada), with my cat Cocotte by my side.
