Dream Walker / 梦遊 is a panoramic frieze of the River During Qing Ming Festival, which offers a view of today’s urban life during the Song dynasty. The contemporary images of modern people, tourists and daily life of today’s society have allow for, in effect, a layering of contradictory passages of history. Landscape art becomes a metaphorical meeting point between the old and the new, in which life in the city is portrayed as both different form and yet continuous with the past.
