Dryads Painting

I have been painting pictures of the night for years. At night I frequently sit outside (weather permitting) and observe my surroundings. This picture is a memory of the trees at my driveway's edge. It worked out rather well. My friend, the artist, Richard Segalman, noted "This is the best picture you have ever painted. It has soul." My now deceased father, also a painter, would take me outside at night to observe the sky and particularly, the moon. This became a life-long habit. I do not use reference of any kind, whether that be photos, sketches , or otherwise. These are painted from memory. The paint is applied opaquely, but without any visible brushstrokes. I use the highest quality paints and related materials to ensure longevity. This picture is perfectly framed in a deep, wide, black-side, silver front, frame of well-sculpted wood. Hanging hardware is always included. I love the solitude felt when viewing the beautiful night as observers have for centuries.
