The birth of my children has had a great impact on my life and my work. With them was born the need to enter that magical, captivating, enigmatic, amusing and incomprehensible world. My work is my life, my intimacy, my happiness and sometimes my sadness. Each piece forms an enormous and unfathomable puzzle of those thousands of moments or feelings that happen to me every day. Home, my place. That poetic, abstract space. That meticulous construction, which never rests, never stops. Pure and true love that strengthens and intoxicates and charges each of my brushstrokes with energy, power and truthfulness. Friendship, love, sex, fun, quarrels, games and above all the passing of time are the themes that life itself presents us with on a daily basis and that is what my works speak of. Dolls that take on a life of their own, exchange feelings and secrets, narrating small stories of real life. Magical, unreal atmospheres: toys that talk, laugh, dress up, have fun, pose, look at us .... overcoming our subject-object distinction. Backgrounds that were once flat, without anecdote take on as much importance as the actors, without respite or pause, enveloping, invading and reinforcing the main characters, who will be treated with profound detail and meticulousness in their workmanship. "Duel of Titans" is a play where the dolls of Dragon Ball Z and the Stone Man fight together despite not belonging to the same series or cartoon, as happens in the children's game. Big monsters confront for power or wisdom against other muscular ones, as happens in the game of the big ones, and they come to life and die and resurrect as the libretto requires it. Images, parallel worlds full of colour and music follow each other naturally. Blue, red, white or yellow lines envelop and give strength and context to this unparalleled struggle, and realistically painted, brightly coloured strongmen impose themselves so that we as spectators can step away from our routine for a minute and enter this world of imagery without time or space.
