About The Artwork
'Duke' was my horse growing up. I did this painting for Skagit Animals In Need, benefit auction. I loved painting it because It made me think of my Dad, whom loved horses and sadly passed 2 years ago. Duke is painted with Acrylic on reclaimed tongue and groove, southern pine boards.

Born in a little town called Pasco, Washington. Grew up in beautiful Bow, Washington surrounded by expansive farm land, flowing river, mesmerizing sunsets and a bright night sky. My heart is all country. I find most of my inspiration from my surroundings...though I couldn't do what I do without inspiration from my fellow AMAZING. TALENTED. HOW DO YOU DO IT, Artists! I am challenged by you all and it keeps me fighting to be better. Which leads me to my education. I am self taught, except for one acrylic painting class I took at Skagit Community College.
