"Dustbowl" Unique design! Original painting on hand treated paperboard painted with 18 carat gold, acrylic, gouache, watercolour illumination "tezhip". Tezhip is an Arabic word which means “ornamenting with gold”, which is a luminous and attractive manuscript art, applied by turning gold leaf to a powder, enabling it to be applied with a brush. After applying the gold, its burnished (polished) with a special equipment called "muhre" made from "aqiq" semi-precious gem stone. It is inspired from 17th century Turkish (ottoman) illumination which covers non-figurative paintings. Size: Painting with gold on paperboard approx. 41cm in diameter Medium is hand treated paperboard. The painting comes with certificate of authenticity.
