E depois do olhar... (And after the look...) Painting

The intensity of the staging created by Johannes Veemer in "The Girl with the Pearl Earring" (1665), was the starting point for the composition "And after the look". It is sought to give continuity to the game of seduction by placing the spectator in the place of the painter at the time after mise-en-scène. There is an exchange of roles that leads the latter to become emotionally involved with the character. It maintains with her an almost obsessive intimate visual contact motivating the duality of exaltations. The composition is sustained by two moments: the "before" and the "after", by two complementary colors (contrasting between cold and warm colors), two faces of the same character and lines of force doubled inversely.
