East Fork Roots Painting

I nearly died making this painting but that's a story for another time. This was painted in the Eastern Sierras in California. One fall I began the painting, brought it home and did not touch it until exactly a year later when I could return to the spot. The environment had hardly changed save for a small bit of erosion. I have a good chunk of wilderness landscapes but unfortunately they reside in Mammoth Lakes right now, where they were born. This painting has not yet made the journey north so I thought I'd offer it to the world first. This is a 18"x12" watercolor painting on paper. It is unframed.
