About The Artwork
Traveling to Panama, I visited this island which can only be gotten to by boat. It was so small you could walk around it in a few minutes. There were a few structures where some members of the Embera Tribe lived simply. There was an island next to it inhabited by apes. If you went to the edge of Isla Embera and sat quietly you could hear the apes on their island. I remember looking back from the boat as we left the island and this painting is my memory of that.
