About The Artwork
Indian Ink on unprimed canvas with bamboo poles. A hanging from my exhibition 'The Journey' for the Brighton Fringe Festival 2012. I was sponsored by Brighton Marina & X-leisure a gallery space at Brighton Marina, 7 Mermaid Walk. It's from a body of work that was inspired by the Sumerian Gods and their tribulations. Most of my artwork has been inspired over the years by dance, movement, martial arts and meditation. I try to capture it's raw energy and expression in my paintings.

I am a artist based in Brighton-UK. I have always been interested in the body's interaction within space and the energy it creates. Since my exhibition When Heaven Meets Earth I have worked in a Japanese/ Chinese style hangings like scrolls. Painted on un-stretched pieces of canvas which allows me the freedom of just being in the moment and using the brush as an extension of my own body in my own little universe. My artwork has been heavily influenced over the years by different forms of dance, martial arts and sound. I also practice meditation which has become part of my practice before even creating the work.
