Painting, Oil on Canvas
Size: 15.7 W x 19.7 H x 3.1 D in
The work "Everything in Your Hands" draws inspiration from the collective awakening to environmental issues and the youth-driven movements advocating for urgent action on climate change. The central figure, a young girl, is a tribute to the young activists who have taken the world stage, demanding preservation and respect for the natural world. I hope viewers will feel a sense of personal responsibility and connection to the environment when they see the painting. It's meant to provoke contemplation on the impact of our daily choices on the planet and to stir a protective instinct similar to the one we feel for loved ones. The choice of oil on canvas is a nod to the traditional art forms that have long served to document human history and significant turning points for civilizations. This medium ensures that the message is not only impactful but also enduring. The subject matter—a pristine landscape within a fragile sphere—serves as a metaphor for the Earth, delicate and in need of gentle handling. The style, with its contrasting elements of tumult and tranquility, reflects the chaotic state of our current relationship with the planet, juxtaposed with the harmony we could achieve. It's a call to action, rendered in the timeless language of art.

For me, creativity is as necessary as the air we breathe, without my painting I would only exist, but I would not live. What I want to convey in my art. I am inspired by the beauty of life, time, philosophy and infinity. I want my paintings to express the spiritual side of existence, the spiritual and metaphysical level that we can come into contact with. I want to speak to the viewer through beauty and symbols and am interested in how I can share my world with others. In the oil painting The Way to Light, an ocean and a sunset are visible, the waves embrace the sun like a heart. In the watercolors with dancers, their figures turn into flowers. Time runs out is a depiction of transience but the memory of beauty remains and everything is part of an eternal cycle. I enjoy working with large or medium formats that give me and my hands a freedom to immerse myself and experiment. The work is a process where materials and ideas can change and I paint until the motif resonates with me. I also want the finished piece to resonate with the hearts of my viewers and become a part of their souls. If I succeed in that, I have achieved my goal.
