Eye Ecks Ares Painting

Launch of the Ares I-X rocket. Colors are inverted. The work, as with most of my work, is mixed media on high quality watercolor paper. In regards to the archival quality, high end paper is as much or more durable than canvas, and the dry media is fixed to the surface with layers of sustainable adhesives. This piece has been shown in a gallery, and any work that I have shown is mounted directly to a wooden frame in order to hang, thus protecting the paper from potential piercing or other damage. The frame is handmade (and thus more crude than you would get professionally, but it fits the aesthetic of the piece,) and will ship with the piece if ordered as such, but is not essential to it; the frame can be deconstructed and the piece remounted if that is what the collector desires.
