I want to evoke and make tangible the convergence of the conscious and the subconscious, and to be alert the avenues that may reveal themselves as the work unfolds. There is no literal narrative or symbolism, but I hope that the pictures are viewed and interpreted by others and prompt an emotive response. When painting, I take part in a similar process, following the the work's own internal logic which may grow from the initial impetus, yet remain true to it.
