Painted in acrylic on 250gsm paper. I often use Pinterest to seek out interesting images that might inspire a painting. Once again I got distracted by the fashion ads it serves up to me and the wildly colourful outfits sported by some of the girls (and boys) at Fashion Week. In particular I like the guy in the middle with the pink hair and wild sweater, so he crops up in a few of my Fashionista paintings. Reminds me a little of Will.i.am. I chose this setting with the grand entrance and the red carpet because it reminds me of a famous venue in my home town of Edinburgh, Scotland called The Dome. Definitely a place worth getting dressed up for and what better setting to show off your outfit than on a red carpet.
