Figures In A Souk Painting

Light in a Market interior. Oil on canvas. 42 cm x 30 cm x 1.8 cm. Not framed. No frame needed as all my oil works are painted around the edge. Signed on the side edge and reverse. My current work is painted directly onto the canvas without any preliminary drawing. The works are created entirely in oil paint without the need to fill in color between the lines of a drawing. My aim is to create an interesting surface with a contrast between smooth backgrounds and impasto. One of a series of nine paintings in red all painted in one session and can be said to be one painting in nine parts. All nine are available at a special price in the interest of keeping the series together. The collector may arrange/display the works in any order or formation they desire. The artists oil colours used are cadmium red deep,carmine,cadmium orange and titanium white.
