Finding Treasures in he Shadows Painting

As a little girl, I wanted to create a better world through my work. I still do! I create seeking world peace, and it starts with me, my inner peace. I paint and create about the light within and the spiritual life I share with other earthlings. I also paint about the universal forces I find always encouraging, revealing and protective... If I choose to engage with it and evolve. I seek clarity, harmony, and balance. The subjects I depict reflect my deep commitment to vibrate harmony, and in doing so... I may help bring joy and healing to those who need it. Art is my teaching tool. Upon viewing the works or by working with me, I invite awareness, inquiry, self-acceptance and self-love. My clients and collectors tell me that the installed art vibrationally alters the space and quietly helps people flow. I use shiny findings, mirrors, glitter, crystals & interesting papers, fabrics and threads to lure the viewer to come close, catch a glimpse of their reflection or of something else, or be touched by the light reflected. I invite them to question what they see, notice themselves trying to make mundane meaning, explore elicited feelings and emotions, or simply be present with the piece, content to know that if there is something there for them, it may come at any time. As mirrors & reflective surfaces catch light, they represent the infinite possibilities to access inner clarity. I begin a new painting after a deep meditation session. Once I enter the studio, I trust that what I will do is correct. I love just exploring the textures on the surface of the canvas or board. I like to feel the energy of the color. I enjoy the light striking glass, glitter, color, texture. I travel the tiny crevasses of darkness without fear. I use acrylics and mixed media because I can paint fast, open, exploring. I like layering with the almost dry paint. A session ends naturally. Some objects need drying time, others require a different adhesive. I may need to find more pieces. I go out and always find just the right thing! Back in the studio, the surface changes from upright to horizontal. The next session starts after a morning meditation and simply ends on its own time.
