About The Artwork
"Flooded trees. Morning in the lagoon." "I woke up while it was still dark and loaded my painting gear into the kayak. The journey to the lagoon would take about half an hour paddling. I wanted to greet the dawn on the water, to see that magical hour when the blue of the sky is particularly rich. In the submerged lagoon, peculiar bare trees grow, mirroring themselves in the calm waters. I dropped anchor and, balancing on the boat, began to paint the morning landscape."
