Nestled upon the warm, golden sands of the beach, two delicate pink flowers stand as silent witnesses to the embrace of the day's end. The soft petals, like fragile whispers of nature, exude an air of quiet elegance against the vast canvas of the setting sun. As the sun's radiant glow dips towards the horizon, its luminous hues cast a warm, amber light that tenderly caresses the petals and infuses the scene with a serene, almost otherworldly, aura. The flowers, dainty and resilient, seem to have found solace in the tranquil interlude between day and night. The grains of sand cradle their slender stems, creating a tableau of contrast—between the ephemeral beauty of the blooms and the timeless strength of the earth. Against this poetic backdrop, the two flowers bask in the sun's final moments, a poignant reminder of life's fleeting joys. As the sun completes its descent, casting an ethereal glow over the tranquil sea, the lines of Emily Dickinson come to mind: "Exultation is the going Of an inland soul to sea, Past the houses, past the headlands, Into deep Eternity..." In Dickinson's verses, the notion of exultation, of a soul's journey beyond the tangible, finds resonance in the picture's contemplative atmosphere. Just as the pink flowers seem to exude a quiet ecstasy amidst the sands and sunset, so do Dickinson's words echo the profound connection between nature's rhythms and the human spirit's yearning for the eternal. Amidst the convergence of delicate petals and the sun's fiery descent, this scene becomes an intimate invitation to witness nature's delicate artistry and reflect on the fleeting beauty of existence.

Valentyna Rybkina was born in 1977. After graduating from National University with a Master's in Politology and Sociology, she started to oil paint in 2013 as a self-taught artist influenced by great artists like Aivazovsky. She invites you to remember with her paintings the sunny and happy places you may have visited or plan to visit again, to see how beautiful nature is. She hopes you can look at the colors of her painting, enjoy them, relax, and forget about your problems. Life is good ;) She is especially interested in oil landscapes (ocean and seascape) and has always been passionate about flowers - these are the main thematic focus of all her works.
