Forest Sentries Painting

The path in "Forest Sentries" has been part of my Paintbrush Odyssey. Thus far it has taken me to some beautiful, and at times surprising locations. But now we pause before going on. The fact that there are sentries guarding the entrance to this forest suggests that it's well protected, as it should be. I believe that animals are intimately connected to the environment that they consider home. And so naturally they will try to protect it whenever possible. The placement and demeanor of these Grizzly's are meant to capture the attention of each viewer, and cause them to pause before going any deeper into the forest. Friend or Foe? If Friend, then they are happy to welcome and point the way for those travelers eager to experience the journey that lies ahead.
