Artist Recognition
Artist featured in a collection
This painting is inspired by an ancient woodland in the Cotswolds. Many layers of paint have been applied, scraped away and reapplied to achieve the desired mood. The resulting image of the ancient trees and imagined deer is more about an emotional response to the landscape than representing an actual place. It is a comment on the strength and vulnerability of nature.
