ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was so reluctant to paint this scene. I thought the image was so beautiful, and so enticing that it was almost saccharine. Despite this I decided to give it a try and was very pleased with the results. I used to despise the rococo works for their opulence, especially those of Fragonard. In response to this internal struggle I entitled this painting "Fragonard Pukes" - a scene I found so picturesque that even a rococo master would think it kitsch.
