A young boy's valor symbolizing the sacrifice of a revolution
The death tolls under the firm footing of the Lady Liberty
A burst of inspiration while studying Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People painted in 1830 led to this abstract painting. A good friend talked about a need for another revolution in America given the gross disparities between the have and have not. This must have been on my mind, though I cringe at the idea of any civil war anywhere. Peace and Love triumph over violence and the cost of do not justify any war, even as a necessary evil at the last resort... What the French people have done for their liberty is truly remarkable, but the blood it costed them should always be a profound lesson for the rest of the mankind. Yet, we all do must die. Dying for a cause one believes in is always noble.
