Art Description

Painting: Printmaking, Photography, Oil, Acrylic, Ink on Paper.

Mixed media mono print on oil paint ground with a layer of acrylic paint and collage. Frida Kahlo was a raw Surrealist who was very in touch with her emotions. I used deep orange to symbolize her passions as well as deep purples to enhance her strong feminine side. She had multi-emotional oppositional sides to her, so I divided her up and used complimentary color. This piece is framed with a 2.5 inch white border and black wood on the frame.
