About The Artwork
"Fruit of the Earth” was inspired by travels in Italy and Biblical reflections. During my summer stay in Umbria, I was captivated by the freshness of the terrain and all its living elements. Figs were my favorite summer fruit, to eat and to paint. I set the composition of these figs with its leaves as the plate sitting under the illuminating sun. The subject matter parallels fruits of the earth, being in Gods creation, and bearing His good fruit. This painting comes with a custom built floating frame, Certificate of Authenticity, display wire, hanging hardware, and paper dust cover. Acrylic on canvas. Created in 2017.
