In May of 2017 I was struck by a care traveling 48 mph while in a pedestrian crosswalk. I sustained numerous injuries, one of which was a traumatic brain injury. This painting is one in a series that depicts my experience of living with a TBI. "Furrows" expresses what the world around you feels like when you have a traumatic brain injury. Confusion, disharmony and chaos are just a few of the words that come close to describing what it feels like. "Furrows" gives a visual representation of that experience.
