Gaia and Velociped Painting

This painting of mine is part of a series in which I’m dealing with the tension of illusion and reality. I grab „interesting” images of currant events from TV news feature, and I manipulate them like the mass media itself. I put currant events in a timeless dimension and make them weightless combining details of splendid paintings of great artists. The final result is a harmonic piece of art which is exciting and disquieting at the same time, containing familiar elements and spiceing some humour. The World Naked Bike Ride is an international clothing-optional bike ride in which participants plan, meet and ride together en masse on human-powered transport, to "deliver a vision of a cleaner, safer, body-positive world." The dress code motto is "bare as you dare"
